I was a nhs client for years receiving excellent treatment until covid. After covid I tried to book a check up on nhs and scale and polish which I normally paid for. The young person at reception informed me that they could not give me a date before May 2023 then told me that the dentist I usually got was no longer in the practice so I couldn't get any appointments at all. I pointed out that I was registered with the practice and not with a particular employee but I was curtly told that they now only have one dentist who worked on a part-time basis so nhs was low priority. There were two people working in reception at the time. What kind of practice is this now? One part time dentist and two receptionists. Surely some investigation is warranted.

Excellent dentist but unfortunately certain reception staff have poor customer service attitudes. This needs rectified quickly if customers are to return.
