Don't get me wrong we had a good time and it's set in wonderful countryside and a well executed landscape remediation after mining. But the art and descriptions are so utterly pretentious - we saw the funny side of it and actually had a really good hour there laughing about it but I can't imagine taking it seriously at face value. I also don't think the facilities justify a 6 charge either - surely open cast mines should be returned for free to the community after use? I'd maybe suggest a free walk in the beautiful Nith Valley and pop to a local cafe instead, but if you're bored of real countryside walks give this a go.

This was my second visit here. First time it was pouring and couldn't get a full feel of the area. This time we had beautiful sunshine. The Crawick Multiverse is best described as a gentle walk with elevation, among some lovely landscapes. It's worth reading the info signs around the walk to get some insight as to what you're walking around. We had 2 adults and three kids and all enjoyed the walk. Let the kids imaginations run riot. Plenty of parking, decent admission prices and lots of room to picnic. If you can, go on a nice day. The views are stunning.
