Having first dealt with Simon in the 80s and subsequently Adam, Simons son, Ive always found Glass Scribe to be a very helpful and professional company. At their heart is traditional old fashioned service, set in stone or glass.

arrogant, condescending attitude displayed to long standing customers, their 'jobsworth' inflexible mentality will leave the customer out of pocket for goods not received, that they refuse to take any responsibility for. avoid this company at all costs! edit: Carl Fletcher's reply is a complete fabrication, they charge for goods and do not supply them, so not only do they steal from their customers, they will also lie in a poor attempt to cover themselves and make the customer look bad.

I will try and keep this short. Do not expect any form of pleasantry from the front desk or the owner. My stencils were arriving in cheap thin brown envelopes and they would always arrive creased , so i emailed them and showed them a photo which im also sharing on this review of my creased sheets. Instead of an apology i was faced with the comment '' no body else has complained and that the creased sheets still work fine''. i work in a very particular and neat fashion and was not happy so i asked that in future they send them with a sheet of hard card underneath so they don't arrived creased anymore . The owner said he was happy to do this but will charge an extra 1.50 plus vat , CHARMING HAVE TO SAY . I just stared using them recently (forcefully) and nothing has changed , you send them a file and you will get no response , you have to follow up your selves to see if they have received anything , if you call them they don't like it , and if you dare to send them an email questioning anything like have you got my order or when will it be ready then you will get an instant reply from the owner Carl who will tell you that you are being rude to him or the staff. Such an unbelievable attitude , honestly you couldn't make this up its so ridiculous . Carl (owner) seems to run such a prehistoric company and so regimental you feel extremely uncomfortable dealing with them . i Was then told they would no longer deal with me as my line of questioning of when my goods will be ready has irritated Carl and found my line of questioning offensives. So this then lead to the payment of which 3 invoices where paid immediately and that left several unpaid , i was then sent an email from their not so charming accounts person who demanded a total sum payment , i responded by telling her i need a full statement of what i owe and then i can pay , ladies and gentlemen believe it or not she demanded a fee of 5 to gather the statements for me to pay. At this point i lost my cool and told her if she wants to be paid then start to act a bit more professorial and send me the full statements and i will make the payment , stubborn as she was 3 weeks later she sent me what i need and i paid in full . PLEASE NOTE i used to get my stencils from Crystal Galleries for several years and have to say there service was excellent and fabulous , but as they closed this service i was forced to go with glass scribe as there are not many companies in the Uk offering this. Im so sorry i did say i would keep this short and i haven't . Anyway i have found 2 fantastic companies since who now produce all my stencils , , they respond to every single email and my stencils arrive in a nice hard backing envelope at no extra cost , so all is not lost.

We are Crystalstone Engraving in Kent, we contacted Glass Scribe about 3 years ago regarding their sand blasting equipment, we subsequently visited them up in Scotland, we were picked up from the airport and Carl took us to the hotel, the next day Carl picked us up to take us to his factory where we were given a comprehensive guide on how the machine worked how to transfer the artwork on to the glass and I had practical experience on sandblasting. We then purchased the whole equipment, the Rayzist machine in our opinion is the very best on the market easy to use with its recycling medium feature. And the aftercare service is excellent nothing is to much trouble for them not to mention their free E Commerce Website and special promotions. Our company Crystalstone Engraving has gone from strength to strength. Thank you Adam and Carl
