I called M R Contractors after a rogue trader had done some work on my roof and left it in a mess. Richard came out and had a look a couple hours after I called, and gave me honest advice and a competitive price. They were able to fit me in the next day which was very appreciated since the weather was about to turn. I contacted Richard on 31/03/2023 looking for someone to come out to my house to assess issues with poor ventilation in my attic space. Due to the way my property had been constructed, the ventilation was poor, which caused condensation to form in the attic space, making it basically unusable. The previous owners of the property have ignored this problem for 9 years, so I was concerned there may be long-term damage. Richard came out to my house the very next day. My first impressions were extremely positive as he was punctual, well mannered and very knowledgeable. He was very professional with his assessment and was able to identify the problem in my attic immediately. He was able to provide me with a quote on the day and also offered to conduct wood treatment on the wooden joists in the attic to ensure mould spores were eradicated and the wood was restored to as good as new. Richard, his brother and other colleague came to my house today for the installation of the vents tiles and treatment of the wooden joists. Once again, extremely professional, punctual and even took the time to explain to me what he and his colleagues were doing and why the way they recommended the job to be done was the best way. Richards professionalism and efficient work even caught the attention of one of my neighbours, who is now also looking at getting some work done as their property has been constructed the same as mine. I will also be re-contacting Richard later on for the installation of a velux window on my roof once I get my attic fully converted. I would thoroughly recommend Richards company and I would suggest if you are looking at this review, stop looking for another roofer and contact Richard yourself.
