Stayed in Willow lodge, lovely.....quiet, private and cozy. Everything we needed for a short 3 day break. Would have scored 5 stars if it wasn't for a few 'maintenance' issues...... Taps in bathroom need repairing/replacing as washers seem to have perished leaving black bits around basin. Tap in kitchen constantly drips. Biggest 'issue' was lack of water pressure for the shower.....not brilliant. Yes, we would stay again, but a few minor tweaks would make it perfect.

Queenshill is set in a lovely area of the country. A short distance from Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright. There are around half a dozen lodges set in secluded woodland offering some privacy Each lodge has a large decking area perfect for sitting or dining on The lodge itself is small but cosy, comfortable and well equipped We stayed for 4 nights in July 22 and enjoyed the piece and quiet not to mention the numerous walking trails direct from the lodge Highly recommend t
