Gather

Booked a table for 6.30 on Thursday for dinner. Arrived and on being shown to a lovely corner table found it surrounded by 8 to 10 children under 8 and a table of 20 adults occupying the entire centre of the restaurant, and being very noisy. Completely unacceptably so for a restaurant dinner. Nice waitress moved children but they were back within seconds. Asked for manager who never appeared and while waiting realised the noise was totally unacceptable so left. Have tried 4 times to discuss by telephone but only get answer machine. This was a 45 mile round trip and we could have come at any time. Good management would have advised of the situation and I would have made alternative arrangements.

Definitely the nicest spot for food in the area. Local ingredients, really friendly service. Cracking breakfast.
