There are serious issues with incompetent and uncaring reception staff. I telephoned multiple times over four days trying to get an emergency appointment and register my pet. Various receptionists partially completed registration and said I could not make appointment for elderly dog with vomiting and diarrhoea until registration was complete. I had records transferred from previous vet but still they would not complete registration saying records had to be reviewed first. I explained dog was suffering but still they delayed. Matters were made worse by my old vet having deregistered pet as they say new registration only takes a few minutes. After five days of repeated calls to mcTaggarts and requests for appointment I took dog to emergency out of hours as her condition has deteriorated. She died on Saturday evening and mcTaggarts finally left me a message on Monday saying I could now book in for an appointment- a whole week after my first call to them.
