Un-cooperative Funeralcare, Dalry. Well, I fully understand we have a pandemic on, but the service my elderly mother received was just dreadful and caused even more suffering. 1. Although the world seems to have navigated onto online video conferencing to replace face-to-face consultations and meetings, Dalry Funeralcare have not. A folder was literally dumped in our doorway - that was it. 2. The folder was confusing and unclear on many parts of what they offer, we really needed guidance. Three members of our household have good degrees and work in professional jobs, and none of us could work out how the packages seemed to work. Some of the pricing just seemed bizarre - 600+ to organise a car (make a phone call ), mixed messages on the availability and cost of the cars, out of date options on what was possible with Covid restrictions. Although the staff were attentive when we contacted them, they were often busy, or not in the office, and there was just so much that was not clear - things that could have easily been sorted out with proper initial consultation, which we never received. 3. Their pricing is opaque and bizarre, usually extremely expensive for things you think would be quite reasonable. After the funeral, my mother received options for a headstone that were over three times what a competitor offered. This organisation was unprepared for the changes brought about by Covid, and seems to have just forgotten the most important part of its sales process - the consultation. New - clearer - materials should have been provided that outline options during a pandemic. A consultation utilising ground-breaking technology , such as a telephone, or a smartphone, should take place at the initial stages to make the process easier and more transparent. They should look at their pricing and stop exploiting the local population since it is a "co-operative." Overall, the family were left extremely disappointed and feeling let down by Dalry Co-op Funeralcare. We would certainly not recommend them to anybody.

Having lost our mother just before Christmas, we were really pleased with the service received by the Co-Op staff to support us through a difficult time, ensuring that the funeral and service happened between Christmas and New Year. Whilst not every aspect of their standard services could be provided due to festive shut-down of certain suppliers, the staff made this clear at the start, and presented us with a clear and simple set of options. A very professional service, with straightforward options at an honest price.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the Co-op Funeralcare Dalry following the passing of my father. From the first visit, with Robert Evans, we were talked to with compassion and thoughtfulness during this difficult time. At a time when you are numb, Robert guided us through the process at home and made everything easier to handle. On further visits to the funeral home we were made comfortable and listened too sympathetically by the staff. Everything was handled for us right down to the booking of a venue and arranging catering for after the service. With the assistance of the fabulous group of people we were able to say our final farewell to my father with ease and pride.
