Derek is on another level. He made us feel so at ease on our wedding day and gave us a perfect mix of posed, candid and sentimental photos. He's the one who guides the day in the right direction and puts everyone where they need to be but he feels like another guest. Our guests loved him too. Derek cares about his craft and his subject matter. He endeavors to capture the best possible photogenic memories in a natural form. He engages actively with the whole group or individuals to make them feel comfortable and to be as natural as possible. And it shows. The photos he produces are top class time after time and having had Derek take a number of family and wedding shoots the quality and consistency shine through. A definite recommend artist.

We booked Derek for our wedding after we seen some of his work in one of the albums at our wedding venue, we knew straight away that he was exactly what we were looking for. As soon as we started chatting to Derek, you just knew that he was such a lovely person and you can really tell he loves his job, it shines through in his work. On our wedding day, Derek was such a laugh, I don't think I have ever laughed so much, which made for the most beautiful pictures. Derek was so chill & calming on the day, we never felt like we were away from our guests for hours and it was so much fun when we were away for photos. We had so much time and it was just amazing. I could not recommend him enough. Every single one of our guests complimented him and his mannerisms. Our daughter loved him too. Derek, what a guy you are. Thank you so much for being such a big part of our day. We cannot thank you enough!

As a busy wedding band we meet lots of photographers across Scotland. We saw some of Dereks work in 2016 which blew us away, Derek is a professional who loves his job and makes every effort to capture the best shots. Book early as he is in great demand, you won't be disappointed. 5 Stars.
