I took a pair of levis 501 to be shortened by about 4 inches. It was 15 for the alteration and worth every single penny. They used the original hem and just reattached it to the shortened leg. You honestly couldn't see the work that had been done, it is perfect, totally faultless. I recommend diamond stitch wholeheartedly.
