I ordered a skip, paid for it the same day. The skip arrived just after 8am the next morning. Unfortunately when the lorry driver was leaving the back wheel broke a manhole cover in my driveway. I didn't stop the lorry driver as I thought there was nothing he could do about it anyway. I emailed the company by half 8 that morning, never heard anything back so I emailed again before lunch and got a reply, the manageress informed me that she would speak to the lorry driver despite me informing her that I didn't report it to him. Heard nothing back from them for two weeks until I phoned to say that the skip was ready for collection and they lied to me saying that they had sent an email asking for dimensions of the manhole cover, they clearly don't understand how emails work. I checked all my emails and not one asking for dimensions. But I had previously sent them pictures of the broken manhole cover which had dimensions on it. So they informed me that they would have to order one up. I telephoned everyday for a week and was lied to each time by the manageress, when the story changes you know right away you are being lied to. First it was ordered and waiting to be delivered then it was ordered but someone was meant to pick it up. The lorry driver came and picked the skip up and was very apologetic. Something that the manageress had never done. A further week down the line I had to inform the company that I needed the manhole cover fixed in the next two days or they would have to deal with the legal fees if the sale of my house did not go through due to the broken manhole cover. This seemed to send them into action and were out that day with a manhole cover albeit the wrong one. There attempt to correct their mistake was not dealt with any speed and with a great deal of inconvenience to myself and the buyer of my property. I hope I never have to use this company again but it would have been ok if the manageress had just sorted the problem out instead of passing the buck all the time!!!!!!!!!
