The creativity provided by Paula inspired the confidence that allowed us to think out of the box as we embarked on a once in a lifetime opportunity to build our home from scratch. Together we stepped forward and embarked on a massive and exciting journey. Paula was able to really effectively communicate her wonderful design ideas, not only with us, but also with the build team. Everyone involved had a constant sense of wonder and learning.

We had been planning our house renovation for over 10 years, so when we eventually started work, we thought we knew exactly what we wanted. It did not take long for reality to set in, and for us to realise that many of our original ideas would not work, or were over budget and eventually we got completely overwhelmed with all the options and decisions and became bogged down in the nitty gritty of all the decisions you have to make. This is where Habitare came in. We met with Paula and she immediately 'got' what our end vision was, and helped us put those ideas into reality. She was extremely gentle about guiding us in the right direction, and the whole process felt extremely collaborative. That said, she also gave us some structural, design and decorating/furnishing ideas that we would never have considered and 100% saved us a huge amount of time and energy (and ultimately money), as we now have a 'magazine' worthy house, that I do not think we would have achieved on our own. Her advice gave us confidence in our own designs and when we had a wobble in confidence she was there to help guide and make suggestions, which has led us to being completely happy with the decisions and compromises we made along the way. Everyone should use an interior designer!

I engaged Paula to completely redesign the internal layout and decor of a small and awkwardly laid-out rental house in a terrace, built in the early 1900s, with a view to letting my son live in it for a while.The result is a beautiful, comfortable, stylish home which Id happily live in myself! Paula established a relationship, both professionally and personally, that was, for me, like having a patientinterior design counsellor! Paula is highly adaptive, flexible and empathetic in her approach, which means she consistently delivered amazing results which far exceeded my expectations on what would be possible within my space and budget constraints. She is incredibly helpful from a budget perspective as she combines her expertise, creativity, practicality and extensive network to ensure that every pound is spent wisely. I cant wait for the next project
