Been chasing this company for several weeks for a new roller door motor. No written quote despite requests, It all seems very shambolic so Ive now given up.

"Absolutely Brilliant" I have just had a Hormann Garage door installed by Oliphant Garage Doors, and I have to say that the service I have received has been fantastic, from survey to install everything has been seamless, I would highly recommend this company, the boss could not have been nicer, and the installation team left me with an "Absolutely Brilliant" job, the door is perfect, and the PVC facings match perfectly, all in all a Quality Product. 5 stars all round from me. If i could have gave more I would have.

**AVOID AVOID AVOID** Absolutely shocking company - from my personal experience I would recommend to avoid at all costs. Zero stars is what I would give if I could. Oliphant Garage Doors installed 2 x Hormann doors for me, up until then everything was okay until I paid them. Firstly, I attempted to use my credit card and for whatever reason they explained that the payment was unsuccessful, so as a result I paid via bank transfer - no issue at that point. Fast forward to three weeks later they charged my credit card twice for the full payment and to date, I still have no reasonable explanation as to why this happened. I hadn't noticed this straight away however when I called to make them aware they advised me they knew about this mistake (and hadn't thought to contact me about this?!). At this point you'd think this would be an easy fix and they would simply refund the card!? shockingly, they did not! They made some terrible excuse simply that they were no able to do that. As a result, I had to contact the card provider to explain that an unauthorised payment had been made on my card, after which they opened up an investigation as to why. After 5 months, I finally got my money back, this should have been an easy fix but Oliphant made this extremely difficult. I thought that would have been my last dealings with the company, however on 03/02/2021 when opening one of my garage doors, the whole door opened in a extremely fast action which I can only describe like a spring effect. During that process, the door came completely out of its tracks with myself underneath trying not to injure myself (these are very heavy doors) while trying to manoeuvre so it can be laid down. Lucky, with great difficulty, I managed this and I am thankful that it wasn't my pregnant partner who was caught in this dangerous predicament . Immediately after this happening, I called the company to explain - firstly they cut me off and after several attempts to call them back I finally got through only for them to inform me "that this should not happen", tell me something I don't know! Then further to that, they decided that I was my fault and that "someone must have been playing around with my garage door". I know lockdown has been boring, but seriously I am not bored enough to 'play around with my garage door'. Disgusted by their response I quickly corrected their thought process and requested that they fix this issue ASAP. They told me that had no one to fix this and sensing that I was going to achieve nothing with this process as they were accusing me of being at fault I terminated the call and had to find another solution. Since then, I have had another company fix this problem very efficiently and they explained in great detail that the initial installation carried out by Oliphant the door was installed with far too much tension and that's the reason for it falling off like that. I don't normally leave reviews, however I feel its necessary due to such a negative experience. I hope they read this and learn how to take a better approach when dealing with customers. In fact, I would hope my experience would warn people off from using this company in the first instance.
