        I took them a damaged laptop, hoping it might be repairable. They told me it was the graphics card that had gone, as Id expected, but this was part of the motherboard on laptops, and that would cost around 600, so Id be cheaper getting a new laptop. However they did offer to recover up to 100 gig (I think) of my data, and put it on a USB stick. The total cost was to be around 50: 14 for the USB, and 36 for the transfer. I decided I didnt want to lose my other data, so left with the laptop, a little disappointed. My friend bought me a hard drive case on eBay for 6, removed the hard drive from my laptop, and slipped it into the casing, creating a portable one gigabyte hard drive that I can access from my new laptop. Why did they not offer to do that?

        Yup, like these guys. Used to use 2000 RPM in Dundee but they were too big and customer serivce was dreadful. JEM are streets ahead, responsive, helpful, friendly and very efficient. Now have bought both business computers from them and always go to them for advice. Highly recommended. Douglas at Tayport Links
