It's a beautiful property, lots of helpful volunteers on hand to advise you about some of the rooms and very informative. It's a lovely size and many people including myself could see them living in the house. Staff encouraged visitors to have a game of billiards in the games room, and there are some interesting items which must have been ahead of their time such as a warming cabinet and heated towel rail. Good grounds and a golf course if you like that dort of thing. No tea shop but there are several not far away in Cooper itself so not a big deal.

Nothing to do with the place but people that work there,I was approached by a man wont say his name, but he demanded to see my disabled badge, that was on display, this is the second time someone has came out and asked me,one women said I couldn't be disabled because I wad walking a dog, then said I would have to move because she had a bus party coming in,I have walked my dog there for years, always respected the grounds, but the gentleman, and I say that loosely certainly was not

It cost 3 pound to park or it's free if your NTS members. The car park isn't very big and fills up really quickly. The toilets are beside the car park. The gardens are free but you have to pay to go in to the mansion. The price for admission is free for NTS members but it's pricey if your not a member for what you see. The staff could also do with training. When we were there 08/04 they seemed as if they would rather be elsewhere. The only exception was the first members of staff (didn't get her name unfortunately) after the entrance. She was able to give us information about the former owner and his family and how the mansion was redesigned. The gardens are really nice and well maintained and have kids games like putting and tennis. There is also a lovely walk round the grounds and you can look in to the laundry cottages or sit at the top of the garden and enjoy the view.
