Went in to get a nosie fixed coming from my car. The guys told me it needs new parts. Costing my 350. After getting the new parts the nosie was still there. Total rip off. I've then went and got the car fixed from other mechanic and turns out to be a small problem which only cost me 30. I wouldn't recommend halfords. Only recommend them if you want your car broken. They have no idea what they are doing.

I've been going to this garage since I moved into the area 17 years ago and I used to say that they've never given me reason to go elsewhere. Sadly that's changed recently. I took my car in with a dead battery and loud rattle coming from underneath. Battery was replaced but I was told the rattle was a loose heat plate and that was it. Before I even left the forecourt it was obvious this was not the cause of the rattle as it was still very much there. So I took it back again and it was diagnosed with rear axle bushes requiring replaced. I was also advised that my front tyres needed replaced, I said to put on the same tyres that I have on the back, which are Bridgestone and run at about 140 each. I was quoted a price of just over 500 for everything (rear axle bushes being 220) so that sounded about right for the tyres I'd asked for and the work was done. A couple of weeks later one of the tyres was already pinging that it was low in pressure and I noticed it was in fact not the Bridgestone tyres that I had requested but "triangle". Nowhere near as good a quality as the tyres I'd requested and also, from my googling, far cheaper and yet id still been charged 279 for 2 tyres which should have only been about 60 each. To say I'm not pleased is an understatement and I most definitely will not be going back.
