My mother-in-law was in here for respite and would not recommend. Lost her clothes and brand new underwear, reported it and have yet to even have a call back to say if they have this or not. She has since been in Darroch Nursing Home and would highly recommend - all her clothes washed and returned, staff are so caring and friendly. She also seemed much more content when leaving and collecting her from Darroch - Donna the Centre Manager and her staff are a fabulous team.

Very disappointing attitude to possible new patients. Day 1 - I had turned up unannounced to enquire about any vacancies. Was shown the largest room available and liked what I saw. Told Manageress of my strong interest. Arranged for family member to make a visit the following day to confirm suitability. this duly happened and he confirmed his opinion to me. Day 2 - Phoned later that day with view to asking for room to be granted for my mother but was unable to speak to Manageress so left message with phone number asking that she call as soon as possible. No call back that day. Day 3 - Phoned next morning, spoke to Manageress, to be told that there was other interest in room. She said she would call back later that day to inform of decision. No call back that day. Day 4 - Phoned next day to be told she was with client but would take my number and call back. No call back. Day 7 - 2 working days later, after no callback, I visited the Lodge to speak to Manageress. She said that my name was on her list of calls to make. Her decision was to allocate room to present client. This was 6 days after I had phoned following our second visit. It is not the loss of the room that annoys me, more the ignorance and lack of respect by failing to reply to my calls within a reasonable time frame, knowing that I was seriously interested in the room for my relative. I had called 2 times, leaving messages requesting a call back. This failure to either pass on messages or act on them does not, in my opinion, reflect well on the establishment. Make up your own mind.
