I wish I could have stayed longer than just a night! The hosts were most welcoming, the room spacious enough for two on a long trip with lots of storage, and the bathroom - well, the bathroom was larger than my entire en-suite room in Inverness... And with a bathtub! The Stravaig basically felt like what AirBnB originally set out to achieve: Feel like you're living with the locals. The house has been lovingly redone to suit modern taste, but with a quirky twist. You can see the hosts' character in it in every loving detail. If you intend on staying in Cullen for a longer period of time and explore the extraordinary countryside of the Moray Coast, I wholeheartedly recommend this welcoming place. If you only stay one night, like me, you'll feel sorry to leave so soon!

Rooms: Rooms are well equipped, cosy and traditional. The room we stayed in had a feature stone wall and its own shower room with a great view of the local area. Nearby activities: Beaches, costal walks, local food, inland walks, local historic castles, distilleries. Public transport is frequent and reliable, but would recommend making sure you have your own for the full experience of the area. Walkability: Lots, as in some of the best walks and cycle routes, and kayaking / canoeing / sailing in Scotland.
