Stoneyfield Lochs Trout Fishery

Have had a fantastic day on the fly today its only the second time I have been and done fly fishing at first my casting was sadly less than shoddy but after the first hour I started to get in to a rhythm and the only way I can explain its like music you have to feel the rhythm & it becomes a part of you So I do feel blessed to have hooked and landed my first two rainbow trouts ever on the fly & im looking forward to my dinner tomorrow This fishery is fantastic the lady & her husband who run it are kind & very friendly we had a nice chat when they were doing the rounds The fish are extremely healthy & the area is stunning with not a sign of littering I shall be returning probably next week Would highly recommend to others Tight lines & wet nets

Fished there quite a few times, hood verity of trout, brown, blue, tiger & rainbow. Yet to catch a tiger trout but lost a big big rainbow. 3 lochs plenty fish.

Fished this jewel of a trout fishery 3 times in 5 days. What a holiday treat. Great layout. Awesome fish, great fight. Recommended to all trout anglers holidaying in the area.
