        We had a lovely 1 night stay at Beechwood Lodge during our travels around the Highlands. Nice rural setting at the back of Alness. We had a clean and comfy ensuite room with a view across the countryside. Gunta, our host, could not have been more friendly and helpful, giving us great advice on where to eat in the town, serving us up a delicious full Scottish breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend Gunta, and Beechwood Lodge as a pitstop or base if you are exploring the Highlands.

        Honestly couldn't have asked for a more wonderful and fulfilling weekend. From a friendly welcome, to a cosy home, to a delicious home cooked meal every night we are truly sad to be leaving. Gunta was so helpful and kind, even picking us up in Alness to bring us to the lodge and back again! She gave us great places to hike and walk around to fully embrace the nature around us and take some beautiful photos. We can't wait to return to the lodge and spend more time there, and hopefully for longer than a short weekend. Cannot express enough just how magnificent this trip and stay was, and it's all thanks to Gunta and her warm and welcoming hospitality! If you ever need some time away, this is absolutely the place to be!!
