Lydia and her 2 daughters are very friendly family. My daughter was very happy to spend 3 weeks with them. She improved the communication skill and she enjoyed the outdoor activities. Thanks

Very disappointing homestay experience. The host is very much after the money, but giving back what is promised for it, not so much. She talks a lot and always about stuff that she is interested in, not their guests. Welcoming? Nope. Clean? Not at all. Nice touches here and there? Don't make me laugh! The website promises you trips, for example to Stirling. Her words first night in: You must do this on your own! Bang! Slap in your face! But as ridiculous as it sounds, I would even have overlooked it all, if she hadn't insulted me next morning. Yes, you heard right! Have you ever been treated badly as a guest? Want to make that experience? Than go for this place! Now, have a guess - did we get our money back (or at least part of it) when we left after 1 of 7 nights? Exactly! (we didn't) Edit: In response to the host's reply: We were charged 135 per night for a small non ensuite double room (1 adult, 1 child), which in total was over 1000 a week, not just 65. And we were the one's who were told to leave (without feeling the need to give the money back) after I complained about being insulted and the non-welcoming atmosphere (not the coffee). Concerning the coffee, I even offered to use my own, but were denied hot water. The breakfast was nothing more than cereals and - after I asked - 1 slice of toast (the daughter, which btw. was quite the opposite of her mother, very considerate and thoughtful, had a roll, why not us?). Jam had mould on it, of course I said something, the host did not even say sorry. Like in her reply, only caring about her reputation, not about others.
