I had the most wonderful stay at Lochside over new year 2022/2023. I arrived late due to a long journey so called David to chat me through getting in. He was so helpful & explained everything. The views are wonderful and the weather can change throughout the day. But its stunning. The apartment was very clean & has everything you need. Bed was very comfy so much that I over slept the first morning! Highly recommend Pucks Glen and Benmore Botanical gardens. Even in winter they are stunning. I did drive to Loch Lomond and although its over an hour away the views were spectacular! Round every bend you were in wonder at it all. Ill definitely be coming back. Thank you for letting out such a wonderful home.

We stayed 3 nights in this apartment, we had a lovely stay eventhough the weather was wild the apartment was warm with the added cosiness of the log burner. The bedrooms are great and beds very comfortable. Everything you could need and more is available with nice little touches like tea, coffee and biscuits left for you. The views are stunning even on a wet day and there are many great walks especially if taking dogs. We will definitely return in the warmer weather to explore some more.

Had a wonderful stay at this apartment near to Dunoon. We found it to be very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. Early morning dog walks at the arboretum with the dawn chorus were a joy. The entrance to the arboretum is only half a mile along the road - there is a short stretch without a pavement, but it is wide enough on the side closest to Loch to walk safely. Half a mile the other way along the road, is a cut through to the Cot House Inn and a garage with a well stocked Premier shop. Lots of lovely walks and also great cycling on forestry tracks. We did not make the most of the cycling due to excellent unseasonal sunny weather during our stay meant it was too warm to leave the mutt in the car. It was great to have somewhere safe to lock up the bikes during our stay - bit of squeeze getting both bikes in but they are 27 inchers and large framed so bigger than most bikes. Last couple of days were pretty wet but the apartment had an airer for wet stuff and with the log burner everything dried out quickly. The instructions to the log burner recommended using locally supplied special eco-logs these were great, easy to use and long lasting. There is a well stocked book shelf which was handy as i finished my book during our stay. Views from the windows were good and with ducks, scoters and curlews regularly dabbling on the river in front of the living room window. We also saw a Honey Buzzard a couple of times - once from the window and once walking along the road. Strone Inn was welcoming and dog friendly with excellent ale from Loch Fyne Ale brewery. Definitely a week to remenber.
