This is both a great base from which to explore Argyll (dab in the middle) or as an eco-friendly destination for total relaxation or day hiking. The accommodation could not have been more ideal for our stay (two couples) and our hosts were the embodiment of hospitality. One highlight was the vegan evening meal that we requested and served in the dining area of our upstairs holiday flat. To get the most out of this place, come with a good supply of your favourite foodstuffs (which you can supplement with local produce) and adequately prepared for West Coast weather.

We had a FANTASTIC relaxing 4 night stay. We came for the nature and views but sadly, the wet and wild Argyll West Coast weather was not on our side but it was mild for this time of year. The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you and you Dog needs. Peter and Sai are the perfect hosts. Ask and you will receive! Anything from where to eat, where to see Otters, where to go for walks, tips on how to use your camera. The area is also great for the night sky. We had a 20 minute window of clear sky one night and the stars were stunning. We travelled around Loch Fyne, Loch Awe and the Isle of Bute. Great views and we saw Red Deer, Buzzards and a Sparrowhawk. 20 metres from the house Sai and Peter have a wildlife hide. It is a great setup with tripods for you to use and it is nice and cosy. There are feeding stations for birds, Red Squirrels and PINE MARTEN, yes PINE MARTEN. There is also a reflection pond/pool. We went in the hide every night but only managed to see the Pine Marten on our second night. It is such a wonderful and beautiful animal. See my poor photos. You can also view the feeding station from the house if you wish to stay indoors. There are two sets of binoculars provided. There is also a pay to use electric vehicle charging point. Very rare in this part of the country. Thank you again Peter and Sai. See you next year. Ray, Linda and Thor.

Wonderful relaxing week away in the very cosy and comfortable Skye cottage in one of the most spectacular parts of Argyll & Bute.. If you love nature, breathtaking scenery, stargazing around the fire pit and a very warm welcome then this is the ideal place for you. Nothing was too much trouble; from recommendations for local wild swim spots, where to spot Otters and great walks to the best places to eat and enjoy a spa overlooking Loch Fyne. We are already planning our next adventure there. Thank you for being fabulous hosts Sai and Pete! See you soon.

Clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need but its all about the location. Open glens, forests and lochs to see or photograph. We went to explore the wildlife and certainly were not disapointed.Peter is an expert on the local area making planning our trip a breeze. The garden has a hide allowing you to enjoy very close encounters with many interesting subjects. So whether you want to hike or just relax i cant think of a better place to base your holiday. I just cant think of any negatives about this place

This location suits all walks of life !Families, foragers, swimmers, beach lovers, sailors, forest bathers, readers , couples, wildlife enthusiasts! There is something to do for all! Not only is the accommodation and area beautiful and idyllic but the hosts are the best you will EVER possibly find. We asked before arrival of advice on where we can walk and the recommendations exceeded expectations. In just 3 days we have visited a stone age settlement, foraged wild garlic , visited 3 beautiful woodlands, 3 beautiful beaches full of oyster catchers and puffings and storks and shellfish, 2 Castle ruins and watched Red squirrels and baby lambs from our very own window. All locations either walkable or within a short drive. We have had family picnics in the cottage garden and sat amongst the stars with a roaring fire. Our only complaint is that we didn't book longer. We will be back again soon for visit 3 We
