A group of 9 of us stayed at Greenbank in September 2022. The house is well equipped and suited our mixed group very well. For the older folk, the house is in a lovely location with views over the sea loch, the front garden is a lovely place to sit on a sunny evening. For the more active members of the party we had a great time with good mountain biking from the door, hills within easy reach and a choice of pleasant walks to be had without getting into a car. On the subject of traffic, the house is on a dead-end road so there is minimal traffic. Asda and Morrisons deliver to the house so once you are here you can park up and have a lovely stress-free holiday.

Rooms: Beds were incredibly comfy and had electric blankets which were greatly appreciated Walkability: The walks directly from the house were incredible, along loch goil River and Donagh falls in particular. And the fact you can walk to the local pub! Noteworthy details: The coal fires make for a cosy and warm atmosphere. It's the perfect space for 10 people including beds and spaces around the dinner table. Gorgeous and big back garden! Beautiful, big and well stocked kitchen in terms of equipment, there's a cafetiere and tea pot which came in handy, only problem was pretty useless bowls if having cereal or soup as they're so shallow, they could definitely do with investing in standard cereal bowls. Only one 'communal' shower, the rest are in en suites (and another communal bath). But thay worked fine for us. We couldn't get hot water in the evenings, but totally fine in the mornings. Would HIGHLY recommend this house, the pictures don't do it justice. In a stunning location and the house itself is beautiful inside and out.

We had a fantastic 5 days at Greenbank to celebrate my husband's 50th. There are lots of things to do in the area, even when the weather isn't on your side: Endless scenic walks, Loch Goil cruisers, we visited Inveraray Jail and had a lovely meal at The View Restaurant. With the current pandemic and time of year, there were many other attractions which were unfortunately closed, but any other time and we could have easily filled 2 weeks with activities - both on and off the water. It was great to come back every day to a lovely warm and comfortable house, where we played board games, cards and watched films. We had a really relaxing stay and the scenery is just stunning. Thankyou for your hospitality, Amanda & Bern!
