Aland and Cristine were very welcoming and accommodating and went out of their way to exceed my expectations.
There is the local wildlife as well as the couples own friendly wee dog Scrappy and they have their own chicken coup outside the house in the grounds. We had access to the port accross the road to enjoy a bit of fishing but have to say we didnt really have enough time to fish as much as the boys would have liked for other activities.
There was a beautiful waterfall to the back of the house and you were welcome to explore the grounds and use the facilities that Alan and Cristine have worked hard to set up.
There was an outdoor swingpark for younger kids and a hammock in the trees and we spent our dark nights building fires cooking dinners on the open fire and enjoying playing board games as a family.
For a small remote place there certainly wasnt a lack of things to do.
This is the first full weekend ive managed to tear my son away from a games console and enjoy having an outdoor experience.
Would definately love to return in the summer months.
