Immediately after they left I inspected the Ottoman bed and discovered that it would not stay up. I managed to catch your staff before they drove away. One member of staff came back up to look at it and agreed that it did not stay up indicating perhaps the mattress was too heavy and that I needed to contact the company which I did.
However, when I read the instructions for building the bed it quite clearly indicates that a 5 foot bed requires four gas pistons. Only two gas pistons have been fitted. The impression from your staff and your website is that they frequently build beds, so are experienced. I am unclear why they didn't just tell me about the pistons when they were building the bed. Which would have saved a lot of my time messing around. The shop requested that I open the bed to check how many pistons were there and record the serial number on the pistons. Clearly, as it would not stay up, I needed assistance with this. Which would only have taken your staff minutes to facilitate. They did however highlight to me that the safety strap was too short to function which I am pursuing.
I would suggest that you reflect with your staff on this episode so that there is learning and that they gain confidence to articulate any supply issues, that are outwith their control, to the customer etc.
