They speak words And I laugh.
I'm only going to give 4 stars for the rooms as the only rooms we were in were the dining room and the pub. These were very nice. There is a restaurant for, I believe the residents, plus another restaurant for walk-ins. However, I do suggest you book a table. The restaurant we were in accept dogs (remember to tell the staff about your dogs, and how many). The staff are very friendly and always looking busy, but give their time to those eating or having a drink. We enjoyed a starter of chicken and onion rings with three dips and two mains, scampi and the Castletown hotel burger (amazing). Finally, to finish, it was the Orkney cheesecake, just fantastic. I certainly recommend a meal or even a night over, but booking is recommended, especially for Saturdays . Book at least a week in advance. I'm told it's worth the wait. Restaurant opens from 5pm. Nearby activities: Beach, Dunnet distillery, Thurso, Dunnet Head, John o Groats.

Lovely little hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Nicely decorated and all areas smelt really fresh. Would definitely recommend. Food & drinks: Free breakfast was excellent.
