This has to be one of the best - if not the best - glass recycling facilities in the area. Simply drive in, put your bottles in the receptacles, and drive away again. You can pop in to Tesco while you are there but there is no requirement to do so. There is never a queue and the bins are emptied regularly so you will very rarely have that 'full bottle bank' disappointment. Thoroughly recommended.

An absolute must for anyone visiting Castle Douglas. Fairly often after a big sesh I end up having lots of glass bottles and recycling centres are few and far between. I thought the same for here until I stumbled across this place, what a glass recycling place I found. Honestly the facilities are state of the art, plenty of options for glasses all shapes and sizes and right by a beautiful listed Tesco for when you need to replace the drinks from your previous session, of which you just recycled the glass for.
