Had an overnight stop at Hawkrigg on a really wet night in March which is normal for this part of the world. Lovely friendly and helpful owner. It's a small and quiet site with a couple of loos (one with a shower) and a wash-up point. Power is via a meter on each pitch. Just read it when you arrive and when you leave, I used just over a unit being plugged in using a kettle, toaster and heating (@40p a unit). Make sure you have some cash to cover your usage. Didn't get to meet the geese and donkeys but will make a point to try on my next stay.

Very nice little site. Owners very friendly. Quiet site even though near a busy road. It was quiet at night hardly any traffic. Good walks around the areas hops a bit of a drive away but a garage shop nearby. Would recommend this site. We stayed 5 nights.
