        Secluded enough to enjoy a quiet break but really only 5 minutes to the city. The interior of the cottage is warmly decorated and very cosy in winter. In summer, sitting outdoors and sipping tea and enjoying nature would be an experience to behold. Even sitting indoors with the French doors wide open, one could enjoy the beauty of the surroundings in the warm comfort of the indoors. Dumfries is the seat of the county and there are lots of places to explore, even in winter.

        Stunning! We can not recommend this place enough. Dawn was just wonderful, thoughtful and so helpful. The place is spotless and the view is stunning.

        Woodend is everything you could ask for Dawn is very welcoming and helpful if you have any questions cottage is very comfortable and cozy with an open fire plenty of walks and a base to explore Dumfries and Galloway
