My husband and I took my daughter and her husband on a genealogy tour of Carsphairn Parish (and southern Scotland). We stayed at The Knowe Bed & Breakfast over the first weekend of December 2018. Such a lovely visit, though too fast. We hope to go back! While there, we met several lovely local people who helped us find great pubs and restaurants, showed us where our ancestors were buried and where they had once farmed, and helped us feel at home. We visited the Carsphairn Parish Church and the Carsphairn Tea House. Every person we met was warm and friendly, kind and helpful. I'm so glad we took a few days to explore my family's roots in this area of Scotland. The breakfast at The Knowe Bed & Breakfast was delightful and the beds super comfy with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Such a lovely visit with beautiful memories. PS Don't miss the adorable fairy garden in the driveway :)

We had such an amazing time staying at the Knowe. The owners a very nice, provided great tips for places to visit, things to bring and places to eat. The breakfast was delicious as was the homemade short bed that was served on the tea tray. They also give you fresh milk for your tea. The rooms are big and very lovely. The bath rooms are modern and the showers can't get any better. Even the garden is decorated with lots of attention to detail. Thank you very much. If anyone does not like dogs. They are quiet most of the time and the most you are going to meet them is them staring at you through the window. They are also very small.
