This was a stunning beach right at the train station of Cardross. You can follow the paths and walk down through to bowling. This is a beautiful stretch and if you look close enough in the waters along the harbour and a little further foen you can see the old ships in the water. It's an absolutely stunning quiet beach yiu can get to yourself apart from a few dog walkers. Recommended for the peace and the stunning views over to the hills. Will be back again and again. Also only a half hour walk to st peters Seminary from here a really easy walk to which is high recommended if you like abandoned areas.

The nicest of all the stations on the North Clyde Line, sitting on the bank of the estuary with views of Port Glasgow and Greenock. One of the original station buildings still survives, and is still in use as a limited hours ticket office and waiting room. This is a Park+Ride station and the parking is free.
