I recently had the pleasure of meeting Anna during my first wild camping expedition in the Scottish Highlands. As someone who is not a seasoned trekker and has little to no camping experience, I wouldn't have been confident going on this adventure had it not been for Anna's kindness and patience. Anna was very hands-on during the camping prep as well as the expedition itself; from assisting our group with taking inventory of our gear and planing our route, to quite literally offering a helping hand across waterfall crossings and up steep inclines. Despite the 25mph gusts and torrential downpour, Anna's positivity and genuineness made the journey a pleasant one. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Wild Roots Highland Guiding to those seeking expert guidance and support with navigating the Highlands, and I look forward to the many more adventures to come in Anna's company. Thank you, Anna!

Possibly one of the best weekends I've had in the outdoors! I joined the Wild Roots Guiding 'Women's wellbeing trek' that took place in the Cairngorms plateau over 3 days (2 days wild camping). Although I have wild camped and hiked in the area before, joining Anna, Shona (our guides) and five other fantastic women from around the UK, made for an amazing adventure that I will remember forever. Our guides' knowledge, respect and passion for the landscape was infectious. The equipment provided was top notch and the food delicious. I learned so much over these 3 days, about the mountains and myself and feel so refreshed by the challenge and empowered to get out more. I would highly recommend joining Wild Roots Guiding on one of their treks/walks as it's worth every last penny - in fact you get back way more than you think you will! Whether you are a seasoned hill walker or have never set up a tent in your life, the experience will be equally magical. A heartfelt thank you to Anna and Shona, not only for helping us traverse through mountains, but for making a truly positive impact on our wellbeing and confidence in the outdoors.

Still buzzing with a big smile in my face. What not to love in the beautiful Scottish Highlands and with an amazing guide as Anna? I loved every second of it. Anna is a very knowledgeable guide and provides great equipment to experience a wild night in the hills. Plenty coffee and yummy homemade food to keep you going or to sit and embrace the views. Anna listened to me and helped me to overcome my "mental barriers". Can't thank her enough for a great night under the stars and for a great company. I felt as if we knew each other for a long time. I highly recommend Anna as your guide in the Highlands. I'll be back for sure! Thank you, Grcies, Gracias, Grazie mille

Anna is incredibly knowledgable and very easy to get on with. I would trust her to deal with situations that require a cool head. Anna had good advice in dealing with anxiety on exposed ridges and has helped my confidence. Despite being very used to the Scottish Munros, this was something that held me back. She has the experience and qualifications to cater to all needs, be it your first hill walk or a 20 mile hill run covering a few summits. You will have a memorable and enjoyable day out. Highly recommended.

I cant recommend Annas trips enough! This was my second Wild Yoga Trek with Anna and Lindsay and it was fantastic. A perfect mix of hiking, wild swimming, yoga and high mountain camps. Annas background in environmental education shines through in her role as a mountain guide. She provides insights into ecology and the histories of where we explored - from the depths of geological time to the last glacial maximum to the people who have left a lasting legacy. Time with Wild Roots Highland Guiding is time very well spent indeed.
