Had a great stay at the yurt in the beginning of September; warm and cosy in there with the log burner, and well fed with a full size gas cooker to prepare meals on. The yurt attracted a fair bit of wildlife in the night, but amazingly the midges on Eigg aren't immune to repellant like they are elsewhere in Scotland! Lighting with battery operated fairy lights and torches. Coolbox with ice packs in lieu of a fridge (you may need to remind them to swap out the ice packs, they won't be offended if you do!) The garden/croft is stunning, you can clearly see a lot of hard work and knowledge has gone into the organic food production here and the tenderstem broccoli we had from the garden was the best I've ever tasted. The chickens are great little characters and will certainly keep you entertained if you decide to eat al fresco! The views are absolutely amazing, and the beaches are nearby, we were blessed with two stunning sunsets and the best aurora show I've seen yet. We only stayed 3 nights but we'll definitely be back again.

Having spent some days cycling scenic but challenging coastal road miles and wild camping, we revived here on Eigg! It is such a restorative and peaceful place with an ethos you can feel the nourishing effect of as soon as you land. The shop is about 4 miles from the site, something to be mindful of. Shout out to Dougal, one of the volunteers who gave us the lowdown on arrival as the owners were away. Riding the waves at singing sands beach was a form of therapy! The allotment produce is well worth sampling. Such an array of amazing views! Facilities: shower room, charging area and wifi, washing up sink and water refill, composting toilet.
