Glenfinnan Dining Car

We arrived rather dishevelled from 2 days in Bothys. We needed tea and great food, which we has in spades. Reception was slightly frosty to begin with (but that might be because we looked rather crusty,) but that did not last long. Home smoked salmon open sandwiches were delicious, tea was lovely and carrot cake ....yum Thanks to all the staff x

Myself and my family were not met with a good welcome at all we visited on Friday 14th April. We travelled up from being on holiday in Oban to visit the finning car we had 6 adults and 6 kids. And we're made out to be stupid for not booking a table. My family go to many establishments and do not get met by a rude lady saying its common sense to book in these numbers which as we explained we were on holiday and wanted to drop in on passing through. This one very rude lady has wasted it for our family as we will never be back to be met with such rudeness. Such ashame as reading some of these comments it looks like we came on the wrong day.

There were also home made specialties which were very tasty and which we could buy in the caf and take away: cold smoked salmon, warm smoked salmon, orange jam etc. Glenfinnan and the Glenfinnan Station Dining Car will be back on our to-do list for our next visit to the Highlands. (Original) Gemtliches und hbsches Caf & Bistro. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir gleich mehrmals in der Osterwoche das Glenfinnan Dining Car besucht haben. Egal ob Frhstck, Lunch oder Kaffee und Kuchen, alles war sehr lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Das Personal war beraus freundlich und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefhlt! Das Caf war jeden Tag sehr gut besucht, so dass ich eine Reservierung vorab auf jeden Fall empfehlen wrde. Es gab auch hausgemachte Spezialitten, die sehr lecker waren und die wir im Caf kaufen und mitnehmen konnten: kaltgerucherter Lachs, warmgerucherter Lachs, Orangenkonfitre etc. Bei unserem nchsten Besuch in den Highlands stehen Glenfinnan und das Glenfinnan Station Dining Car wieder auf unserer To-Do-Liste.
