Knoydart Hide Luxury Accommodation

Our trip to Knoydart was an epic experience from start to finish and was made all the more incredible by being able to stay in the heart of the village at Knoydart Hide. We felt so lucky to have such a luxurious place to stay in such remote and beautiful surroundings. Jackie and Ian added to this by being warm, friendly hosts where nothing was too much trouble. We can't recommend it enough and would give more stars if we could!

Had a three night stay here and can confirm it was utter luxury. Knoydart was beautiful. When it rained heavily, we spent the day using the facilities in the HIde: infra red sauna, hot tub etc. Felt like our private luxury spa. The hosts have anticipated te guests every need and no expense has been spared in providing the best quality decor and equipment. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you.

Booked here for our 25th anniversary and we are so glad we did. Lucky with weather and had 3 wonderful nights in this beautiful lodge. The hyde is beautiful and the mini spa ( bathroom and hot tub) was well used and appreciated after being out walking all day as was the log burner. We also loved reading all the little stories hung on the walls. Great kitchen area , comfy sofa, super big comfortable bed just soon nice. Saw an otter within 1 mile of hyde. Saw deer by the dozen, and had lunch sitting watching a sea Eagle soaring on the thermals up in the hills. The views were breathtaking at times. The paths we walked were great with stunning views and wildlife but easy on the feet as well laid paths. Shame we didn't get to other side of peninsula ( another reason to return) Ian was very helpful and met us off the ferry , gave us a tour of the village and was obviously a font of knowledge about the village. Ipad was a great idea. Pub shut for renovation as we're restraunts, so we have a great reason to return. The locals were all very friendly, we had booked bikes but it snowed so we had to cancel but Ben kind enough to refund us. We ordered food from isla who runs the cafe. If u can, do this, as food was amazing! Also visit her cafe as food was great and a great place to meet folks. Her Venison pie and her red cabbage worth going back for on there own. Didnt get seafood platter but guest book made me kick myself as sounds amazing. We hope to return soon . Cant recommend this place enough id give it 15/10 if i cloud. This is a much sought after romantic luxury hideaway with bookings being taken two years in advance, although I hear they have a single day available in 2024! It's incredibly cosy and every possible aspect has been considered to make your stay as plush as possible. Try the hot-tub on a dark and starry night and relax with a glass of port from their decanter after. Another highlight for me was a local brewery that delivered ready for your arrival. It was a long way to go for us Londoners, but well worthwhile the long journey, even though we 'enjoyed' two bouts of snow on the return trip.

Knoydart itself is somewhere you dont want to leave & hopefully one day be lucky enough to return to! The Hide was beautifully appointed & beautifully comfy, filled with many unusual artefacts. The sauna & hot tub were a delightful addition. Ian & Jackie were wonderful hosts, as were the locals, especially in The Old Forge. All in all a tranquil environment with stunning scenery.
