Was bit apprehensive a) never been in kayak + b) bit older ie late 60s, but need not have worried. As long as reasonably fit you will have great time. The area itself is stunning esp Arisaig Skerries plus professionalism of our tutor/leader was excellent - knowledgeable, friendly and great fun. You will have a great time. Highly recommend.

We have opened 2023 season with Mike on a day trip kayak. I can confirm this is suitable for complete beginners. Views are stunning, clear water and white sand beaches. We have kayaked surrounded by seals and wild life. Mike is a great teacher, very experienced and patient. He knows a lot about the wild life and the area. Highly recommend.

We booked a custom trip with Arisaig Sea Kayak Centre (ASKC) for a few work colleagues over 4 days, including 2 who had never really kayaked before. ASKC was great from booking until the end of the trip. Very well tailored to the experience of the group, very friendly guide and really good food organised throughout the trip. A key thing regarding food is that there was a good amount (I've been on some guided trips before in other places where it was like starvation rations!) The scenery around Arisaig is obviously superb. It rained every day when we were there, which I love; super moody atmosphere. One sight negative was the my two colleagues without drysuits did get a bit cold and wet in the centre dry cags. On the flip side, the tent they borrowed was a good quality MSR something-or-other. The kayaks were also all in good nick. ASKC had a big group tent (Luxe F8 tipi) which was good for the 4 of us and the guide to cook and shelter from the rain while at some spectacular wild camp spots. Overall, everyone really enjoyed it, and I'm considering booking another longer trip with them myself
