I loved Poppies. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and had everything you needed. The service was faultless with the right balance of chat and interest to "let you get on". Breakfasts were sublime - perfectly cooked bacon and mushrooms, and delicious fruit compote style dishes made from soaking apricots or prunes. Yum! The place is a hop and a skip from the town centre on the main road so it's perfect. We could leave the car and just wander on in with total ease. The grounds and decor are pretty and we'll kept and on a quiet evening I could easily see myself dipping a wee sherry in their bar. It looked so comfy with a heritage edge but not too much. Loved it. Loved Callander and it's wee indy shops too. Rooms: Comfortable and clean. Ours wouldn't have been do accessible for anyone either mobility issues but it was perfect for us.
