Cute little ground floor studio flat, right by the train station (although surprisingly, you cant hear the train or anything actually when you are inside.) There is plenty to explore within an hours drive and you could easily entertain yourself for a week or more. If you are there without a car, the train is every 30 mins and takes you into Edinburgh or up the coast through the little fishing villages. The rail link is really handy if you want to take a walk along the coastal path, as you can then catch the train back. No holiday is complete for us without a game of crazy golf, and there is a indoor and outdoor course just 20 minutes away and we will definitely be back for a rematch.

Burntisland studio is a great place to stay. The flat felt like a really fun place to be and was definitely more than your average magnolia holiday cottage! We had originally decided to use it as a base to explore Edinburgh but soon found there was plenty to do in the local area, as suggested by Leilas excellent guide. The location is really fab, literally 30 seconds' walk from the train station but somehow you can't hear the trains when you're inside?! The train service is pretty regular and cheap, it only takes around half an hour into Edinburgh. We arrived by car, which was very easy too but we didnt need to use it at all whilst we were there. The flat had everything we needed with great kitchen & cooking equipment especially. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!

I went to Burntisland Studio with my daughter for a long weekend getaway, and I was honestly blown away. Ive never been to the area before and its so beautiful. Theres a gorgeous high street with lovely coffee, great delis and butchers and some great food options. The seafront was our favourite though, a huge grass area with lovely playgrounds and a gorgeous white sandy beach. My 2yr old daughter loved it and could have spent the entire weekend there! The town was the perfect spot to explore the whole of Fife and Edinburgh. We drove up the coast one day stopping at all the lovely little fishing and coastal towns, ending at St. Andrews which is a great day out! And the flat itself is right next to the station with door to door services into Edinburgh (another amazing day out for us!) The flat is really lovely and cosy with all the bits you need i.e. washing machine, kettle, hairdryer, nice hot shower etc. Its nice and quiet, has a lovely reading corner (great for when my daughter fell asleep!) and is walkable to the high street. All in all Id highly recommend, specially to those with kids, it really is the perfect spot for both kids and adults with plenty to explore. Ill be back! Maria Jacobsen Holmes
