This company is excellent, I cant recommend highly enough. Engaged them in Jan, and gates fitted today 3rd Feb. They standard of service is brilliant. I asked if I should pay a deposit and was advised no, you dont pay anything until you are happy with the job. What a breath of fresh air. Will definitely use them again. Thank you

Asked for a quote on getting a stainless steal stair rail installed into my house , As Derek doesn't do the main jobs anymore he measures them up and passes them down to his son for a quote . Now 2/3 weeks in and still no quote as they do meetings face to face to discuss the work instead of calling each other and discussing the work to be done. Derek has told me he will now take charge of it and get in contact with me. I was told this 2 days ago and still have heard nothing even though I was told I would get a phone call after he returns back to their site. DONT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY , HIGHLY UN-ORGANISED and not professional at all. Only needed a quote so will now take my business somewhere else.

I employed Derek Laing's company to renew coping stones on front wall and attach railing to the wall going up the drive. A year after this was done the majority of the coping stones were loose. He came and looked and arranged for them to be reattached. The following year, lo and behold, they were loose again. He has continuously ignored our requests to attend to this matter. I am in the process of writing to the papers.

We needed a large electric sliding gate installed and a pedestrian side gate to match, we shopped around and had various quotes off a number of other gate manufacturers, when my son said i should try a local company Fife Blackmiths because he had seen them at various jobs throughout the fife area and had remembered them due to the catchy advertising they had. I phoned Derek (snr) who promptly came out and gave us a quote and some good pointers on what we should choose from his vast experience of his trade. We agreed a price and the installation date was set, Derek (jnr) is in charge of fabrication and installation and installed all the gates, working through all weathers to achieve this. The gates are absolutely outstanding and have brought really nice comments from all the neighbours around me, Derek (snr) and (jnr) certainly know their craft and i would 100% recommend them to anybody who asks.
