I passed this company as they were working on a house round the corner from us. My wife asked if they had time to look at a back door lock and they came as soon as they had finished with their client. They assessed the state of the lock and fitted a new one and it works brilliantly. A problem quickly and easily solved. After months of just living with the old lock and the struggle to lock it at night, we now have a proper lock that locks quietly and securely. I was delighted the lock was fixed and when I opened my wallet, the men said no charge. I couldn't believe it. I tried to give them money but they were insistent that there was no charge. So, as one gentleman to another gentleman, I shook his hand and thanked them both. Without a doubt, if I needed more joinery or building work done, Gilmour are the ones I will go to, and also if I am asked for a recommendation too. It is very rare to come across such a professional firm, nurturing new clients with very kind gestures. We all want to engage professional, honest tradesmen and Gilmour's fall into that category.
