Had a problem with the aggressive owner of the cottage we rented (Woodlea Cottage 2) and Jane the manager sorted it out with no fuss. She was professional and didn' t try to fob us off. This we appreciated. She understood the problem straight away and dealt with it. This was a second booking with The Arran Team and we have 100% trust in them.

STRATHDON COTTAGE, LAMLASH. Although we were initially impressed with STRATHDON COTTAGE, it became clear to us that your cleaning/maintenance was not adequate. 1, Green refuse bin was piled high from previous guests " probably 3 or 4 lets" with another rubbish bag laying on the ground. I had to manually compress the bin bags to get the bin closed enough to put out on the street for collection. 2, The first double bedroom smelled of badly cleaned vomit! So we decided to keep the door closed for the duration of our stay. 3, Coffee grinds or caked dirt on top of the skirting board between kitchen bin and radiator. 4, Dirt & hairs on doors/windows. 5, Patio furniture unusable due to seagull droppings. 6, Fireplace full of ashes from previous guests. We paid over 800.00 for a 4 night stay & should not have had to deal with prior guests mess. I have photographic evidence of all of the above. I would not normally take this type of pictures, but as the bins hadn't been taken out for a long time, coupled with the smell of vomit in the first double bedroom & the patio furniture covered in seagull droppings, got me thinking that other parts of STRATHDON COTTAGE may also be suffering from lack of attention. It had been impossible to contact you as you do not reply to email/phone calls & your voicemail is constantly full. Stephen
