Brodick Golf Club

Enjoyed a fab 5-star lunch here on the terrace with stunning views across the golf course to the mountains. Leant back in my chair for a few minutes to enjoy the warm spring sunshine on my face. The bar lady/ manager came out, informed me its not allowed to sleep on licensed premises. Told her I was only sunbathing. She said Id been sleeping for 30 minutes!! I checked my watch and Id only started my meal 30 minutes previously!! I finished a couple of txt msgs I needed to send and she was back out and told me I had to leave. I asked if I could simply finish my msgs and she started to swear at me telling me other people use the terrace and I had to go. The 40 minutes I was there I was alone on the terrace which seats about 40 people and there were just a few golfers out on the course. Ive eaten there before and thoroughly enjoyed it. This lady has a transatlantic accent and is really doing no favours to the Club and especially not to the lovely people who run the catering and are a separate operation to the Bar. As a 71 y.o.pensioner I cannot afford to eat out often. This was a special treat after a tough week. I came away in tears.

A great course, well kept and maintained. You really cant beat playing golf by the ocean with a mountain and castle view. Top class!

Played when weather was really bad heavy rain and wind, the course still played well , really nice course to play and flat.

Website states visitors are welcome in the bar! Tried that only to be told you need to be signed in by a member think website needs updating, either that they just didn't like the look of us.

Played golf course don't be fooled by the length of the course it's a good test of golf with dog legs etc and small greens course in very good condition well worth a visit
