We wanted to attend a church to pay our respects after the passing of the Queen. As complete strangers to Arran and the Church of Scotland, we were greeted at the door and made to feel welcome by the people at the entrance. The building itself was well maintained and we managed to follow the service without any issues. The sermon was good and it kept my attention. We were invited to the adjoining Hall after the service for tea/coffee and biscuits. We probably spent a good half an hour chatting with other church goers and had a really pleasant time. I particularly enjoyed talking with a retired submariner who was very interesting. If we return in the future we will probably aim to attend another Sunday service.
