Awe what can I say, but this place is my go to spot in Brechin and for many reasons Us 2 strangers walked in with rumbley belly's on a Wednesday late afternoon and even though they weren't quite open yet, we were made very welcome from Heather and Steve. The meals we ordered were so so good and we sat by the log burner too, chased up with a wee vino and a lager. We were well impressed so we went back on the following Friday for tea, and I was even more impressed the dish on the specials board was what kind of thing I search for in many places with no success (poached fish with veg and chips), But here it was and omg!! I can't stop thinking about it, so am heading back this Friday hoping it's still on the specials or I will be gutted, no pun intended "Steve dearest" Service is impeccable in this place from Heather, Steve and Sonia, haven't met anyone else....yet! The regulars that have a cheeky pint or 2 at the bar are also very nice and make you feel welcome. I have ventured into a few pubs in Brechin to see where my go to would be for Brechin, and I have to say have not had any bad encounters and been made very welcome in all of them. But the Cally has nailed it for me Oh and they hold cheeky wee folk nights on the last Friday of every month, can't wait to try that Thank you Heather for making me feel very welcome and Steve...what a chef you are Thank you team Cally, see you soon
