I have had a notice that from August 2022 this branch will be closed they are transferring my accounts to Montrose which will be no use to me parking near by is terrible and being disabled I need to get easy access in to bank they never asked if I would prefer Forfar which is not that much further away but has private parking right outside off street far better for my needs.
All that aside this is now the last bank in Brechin other than the post office which now the only one is at Dennis store Montrose Street so no central location post office now, means once again Brechin has been left without a bank after all the others closed the last being the TSB which is part of the Lloyd's banking group as is this bank, they have left all Brechin high and dry sure you can bank on line etc but older folk and people wanting to put cash into their accounts cannot do so unless they go approx 10 to 12 miles to do so also leaves the question of the ATM in the bank will it be still in use if not then we won't be able to withdraw the 500 max as is the case only at the branch atm not at others, or maybe they could allow it say from a post office via your card, either way they group has once more left us all out in the cold and with no bank at all in the town it is disgraceful ...
