Friendly service, good coffee. Cakes are standard Scottish bakery sugary carb fests!

Sadly, I feel the expressive need to make comment on the disheartening and mediocre experience I suffered while recently visiting this establishment. My partner and I were undertaking our annual futile motor homing pilgrimage to the Brechin area, in order to detect unfound Pictish Stone fragments dating from around 900AD. Regrettably, we found this local cafe we happened to stumble upon and to say a 'tainted' experience, was an understatement. My partner ordered for us 2 Lorne Rolls and 2 tins of Coca Cola beverage, and to our utter bewilderment, the total of said items came to approximately 15! Now, we do not grudge paying a little more for our chosen items when the customer experience is beyond the realms but regrettably, the 2 members of staff we dealt with appeared to be very glum, wanting to hurry us along out of the shop and the only 'fragments' we ended up finding on our entire trip were the 2 preposterously small pieces of Lorne we discovered on our rolls. Henceforth, we meandered across to the bakery across the road, where we found we could get more produce for our money and treated ourselves to a couple of fantastic little Empire Biscuits, decorated with the most pleasant 'smiley' faces on them, for our roadside layby picnic on the way home.

Have to agree with the last review, non friendly, no atmosphere, over 9 for one coffee and two buns, no receipt offered, just that is 9.10
