Tarbert House

I stayed here with my son for a week. I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a B&B with a 4 year old but Tarbert House was perfect for us and we had full use of the kitchen if we needed it. First time we have stayed here and we're already making plans to come back. Covid meant breakfast wasn't the same as it was before. We thought it was fantastic! It was enough for our breakfast and lunch because there was so much. The co-op is a minute walk and a selection of places to eat out. We went to Peatzeria across the road our meals were delicious! I would recommend staying here to anyone. We can't wait to come back!

I am really sad to say that i never got to see the Islay. I made a booking with Tarbert House through booking website a month in advance. I went step ahead and confirmed my arrival and departure time which was noted by the b&b. But 2 days before my arrival date booking website contacted me saying that Tarbert House cannot accommodate me without (Tarbert House) giving any reason. The booking website found alternative but it was 100 more expensive and for 2 days stay was simply not acceptable. But what one would expect 2 days before arrival! When i contacted Tarbert House they blamed booking website for the double-booking, but somehow i was preferred customer a month before with evidence of communication, but this suddenly changed 2 days before arrival. Not very elegant and no courtesy to contact me directly. i had to cancel my ferry which added to the grief of having your well planned holiday shortened.
