The present building came into use in 1909 replacing the nearby ruin dates from the 1700s and replaced a building some miles away at Carriden House. I dont have an accurate date for that early church, but the parish of Carriden was consecrated in 1243. Archeological data some years ago discovered part of a cross from the 9th Century. My knowledge comes from being minister at Carriden from 1993 till retiring in 2010.

If churches are your thing well worth a visit I think this one was to small so they built a new one beside it ....not a 100 percent on that
