Stayed for 8 nights while doing the Cateran Trail. Just perfect! Ample space for 3 people and 2 dogs. Accommodation and contents just what we needed. Immaculately clean on arrival. Kay was a friendly host but unobtrusive too. Nice to hear her stories of the local area which we'd walked through. Thank you for our stay and organising the sunshine!

Rooms: Although the lodge was very well equipped and comfortable, we felt it had a distinctive smell in it? I thought it could be a well used but unsanitary smell which I found off putting. I bought some scented candles to disguise this. We had a two bedded lodge, and was given a guided tour on arrival which was a great touch, but was told that the spare room hadnt been made up, which I was disappointed about as the host assumed we wouldnt need use of it, but we did but had no bedding in the lodge to make the spare beds up, an idea would be to leave the bedding bagged in the lodge incase these occasions arise. We managed ok. Nearby activities: We havent been to this area before, and thought it might be closer to wildlife than we expected, although, it was a lovely drive to Glenshee and Balmoral.
